Ryan is a New Jersey native where he grew up working on the boardwalk in his hometown for a local Republican leader. Ryan became involved at a young age in school board and local elections. Following 9-11, Ryan enlisted in the United States Coast Guard where he served for a combined 8 years of service. During his active duty time in 2004 he provided security at both the Democratic and Republican National Conventions.
Upon completing his enlistment, Ryan went on to earn a Bachelors of Art in Political Science and then continued his studies in the Masters of Survey Research program in the Department of Public Policy at the University of Connecticut. Following his studies, Ryan became the Director of Operations at the Castleton Polling Institute where he oversaw all Marketing, Political and Community Affairs Research. It was during this time that Ryan was elected as a Republican County Chairman and began working on Political Campaigns.
It was not long before Ryan knew that he wanted to be working on campaigns full-time. He began working on field programs and worked his way up to managing campaigns. He has managed campaigns at the local, county, state and congressional level in six states. He also has worked internationally where he was responsible for messaging and grassroots for the center right party in the Bahamas. Immediately prior to Ryan joining KAP Strategies, he served as the Director of Constituent Outreach for the New Jersey Senate Republican Office where he oversaw messaging and outreach for NJ’s 16 Republican State Senators.
